TEAM PANDA
Resource Link for Week #3:
http://www.edutopia.org/tech-to-learn-differentiated-instruction-interactive-games-video
Our group has chosen this specific website for a number of
reasons, one that clearly stands out is how the teacher in the video is able to
use different types of technology and incorporate it into the concept of
differentiated instruction.
Watching the video is like walking through the classroom
with the teacher, he is able to come up with activities that suits each
students learning style so they are able to move at their own pace. The teacher is able to use game activities
that incorporates math questions with immediate feedback, this allows the
teacher to be able to really work with students who needs the help.
One thing that the teacher makes clear is that there are
different levels to reach and that is a great way of setting goals for
students. Students begin with the basic
level and work their way up as they master each level through the use of
whiteboards, iPods, and mac books. The
games allow students to be constantly assessed, it is an opportunity for
students to practice and be engaged with learning in a way that is exciting and
effective.
The video itself explains a lot on how to use technology in
differentiated instruction and is a great example of how using creative
thinking to get students to interact and more involved with the learning
process.
The website also has a list of additional resources and
tools that is available for you to explore so check it out for yourselves, it
is a great website and there is so much that you can learn from it.
